Just wanted to pass on some info about Plexus Slim. As many of you know, Plexus Pink, the breast health company I work with, came out with Plexus Slim as a trial use for reps back in July. They were interested in this product because, as you may know, overweight and obese women have a greater chance of getting breast cancer, and women with Diabetes have a 285% greater chance of getting breast cancer! (500 men in the USA died of breast cancer last year alone, so YES, men should pay attention too!…

Adopting the pH miracle diet way of life means changing your approach to eating and cooking. Many people make the transition easily, but for others the pH miracle diet makes them enter the foreign territory of fresh vegetables and vegetarian protein sources.
There is an endless supply of alkalizing recipes in the pH miracle diet books and online. You will never be out of meal ideas if you take the time to look for new recipes each week. Although at first the meals and methods may be unfamiliar,…

One of the most important points of the pH miracle diet is that cancer can be prevented and reversed by applying the principles of the diet. Although these statements have caused some controversy in the world of health and wellness, many people credit the use of the pH miracle diet in reversing their cancer and improving their overall level of health.
According to Dr. Robert Young, the creator of the pH miracle diet, cancer is not a sickness or a disease as commonly thought. It is an effect of…

It is very hard for me to write this. Becky Hoban Hines passes away on Monday, September 21, 2009. I met Becky for the first time at the Liver Symposium in Chicago. What a lady! She was so happy and so excited to meet new people. She danced on stage with Jim Belushi that night. It is awesome to look back and watch her. She was so excited. She was full of life and enjoying every minute dancing.
The next time I met Becky was in Denver at the next Liver Symposium. Becky was wonderful when I fainted…

It seems impossible that I've spent another 365 days dancing with cancer and incredible that I'm alive to experience this eleven year anniversary. The living done in the time and space between here and there is quite humbling. These past twelve months have been spent savoring time, fulfilling dreams, treasuring family, and embracing hope.
Along with family and friends, I've celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Christmas, another New Year, vacations, and college for my girls. There…

The Waiting Clock ©

One Day Before Cancer Took My Mother's Life
Big white round face
Black hands and bold digits
This is the waiting clock
With every loud gasp I look at it
To mark the final time
When we’ll lose her
The seconds are agony: a blessing a curse
For they crawl yet give way to more time on the earth
Each minute blends into the next
With each rise and fall of her chest
But the countless hours that have come and gone
Have given birth…

What a weekend. The show was great! Friday it was raining so hard but Howie, Chris, Linda, Jen & I worked through the rain. We waited to set up the stadium jumps as long as we could but the rain would not stop. Howie went out to finish the cross country jumps and it started to pour. He was soaked when he got back. Linda, Jen, Chris & I were soaked when we finally finished the stadium course.
Saturday we were hoping to see the sun but at least the rain held off until the afternoon.
One…

Most people agree that the American health care system is broken. President Obama gave a speech to the joint house September 9th and here are a few of the points he shared:
"We did not come here just to clean up crisis. We came here to build a future."
"Most Americans are one illness away from bankruptcy."
"There are 30 million people without insurance... Every day, 14,000 more Americans lose their coverage."
"A lady that was about to get a double mastectomy was denied coverage because sh…

What a week AJ & I have had. First spending time with our dear friend Kathy in Malibu and then Pastor Ralph and Lady Angela for a few days. The Gatsby Jazz Festival was great and it was wonderful hooking up with Marcus Johnson and his lovely wife Rhonda. Music was awesome. From LA we headed to Las Vegas to the PGA Show. Again met some wonderful people at the golf event. Lots of golfers telling me about their mom or their wife who was going through cancer and how happy they were to support Ma…

hey all i wanted to share with you what people have been sharing with http://www.icyou.com: videos from cancer survivors about their experience(s) with cancer and what they have done in their lives since having been diagnosed, gone through, and beat cancer. i've been watching the videos here on Survivor Celebration and I see definite similarities and i would like to encourage everyone to consider uploading their videos to icyou, since, after all, it is a user-generated site.
here are a few link…

Most people know the story of Job in the bible, how he went through great trial and tribulation, lost just about everything and finally made it through the other side.
In Job 6:11, Job says: “What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient?"
Have you ever thought or said those words? I know I have. I spoke on Saturday in Denver to a group of doctors, nurses and cancer survivors on the topic of surviving, thriving and celebrating life. When I mentione…
