About Me:
Jeff - 48
Tammy 47

Both Jeff and I have had parents that we have lost due to cancer. My father died a few days after my 30th birthday of which I will never forget it was the last time he spoke and sung to me, which he did every year. He always had a smile on his face even through his trials and tribulations of his illness. It was O-cell on his brain. Jeff's mother passed away just this past April 2007 so we are coming upon a year anniversary! Its been tough we were very close and Jeff was very close to his mom along with his 3 brothers and his father. The unfortunate thing is she was the picture of health and in one month they knew she had cancer, but never found the exact area and died the same day they told us she was to be moved to a rehabilitation hospital. We have had several friends come and go with this disease and a good doctor friend of ours this past fall and a neighbor died of Breast Cancer weeks of each other. My very good friends husband is fighting Pancreatic Cancer. So as you can see by our history we have strong ties to the heartache that cancer can bring...a statement I always keep close to my heart that is always inspiring is "Never let it be said that small group of committed individuals cannot change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has". Margaret Mead We will help in whatever capacity we can for this Celebration and promote it all over town!
Inspirational Quote:
" Every day is a new day of learning. We can excel and exceed our own standards by consistently upgrading our outlook & attitude towards those around us. Our position, our power, our status... nothing is permanent. What will remain in fond memories of those around us is not the altitude of our achievements, but our attitude, acts of kindness, and consideration towards others."

My sister had stage II breast cancer, a year after she finished her treatment, I was diagnosed with colon cancer; and, after a long illness, m y mother developed cancer and died ; so, yes, I agree..cancer changes everyone in
a family and I believe we are seeing cancer developments that will end
the suffering and begin to change to treatments! Hope!

Cancer changes your life forever - whether it's a loved one or yourself. Believe it or not, good things can come out of a cancer diagnosis. Yes, it's hell to go through it, but my life changed for the better once I recovered from chemo and all the other things that happen to your mind and body. I write e zine articles and have a website that includes breast cancer related pages. I'm hoping to impart positive things to anyone that reads them.....Happy Holidays

A friend of mine Ginny Robertson, sent me this note...thought I would share it with you along with the video that was created for his brother...Family love there is no other...

Teresa Rose has two sons who have been battling cancer for a number of years now. Christopher is 17 and Joshua is 16. These boys have gone through so much... including amputations. Teresa herself is a cancer survivor. I marvel at how she keeps going and always puts her sons first. Teresa sent me this yesterday and I wanted to share it with all of you.

To all our precious friends, and the other angels we have not met, who send their love and prayers, I wanted to share this video Christopher (17) created for his brother, Joshua (16) this past Wednesday, when he (Christopher) was at Vanderbilt Children hospital receiving another chemo treatment for a recurrence in his knee area. He worked on it until 3:30 am the next morning.

Joshua is resting comfortably at home, we've had hospice nurses with us since last Monday & started using a little oxygen today. Wanted to let you know he may pass on soon, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, if that feels right for you :-)

We are so grateful to have been blessed with this precious person in our lives, and we love you all :-)

You may share this with anyone you believe would want to know :-)
