- About Me:
- I was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in January 1998 after having a colon resection. Chemotherepy was my next adventure and I was able to continue to work as a nurse in the emergency department in a small community hospital. In 2001 I had my left lobe of my lung removed and in 2002 I again had surgery and had a pie shaped piece of my liver removed after several rounds of chemotherepy. That was then and this is now. I am well and healthy eleven years later. I still work in the emergency department. I am a wife to a great man and we have five children, two and a half out of the house and two and a half still at home. We live west of Boston, Massachusetts on a small family farm where we raise black angus cows, have chickens and bees. We sell apples, pumpkins, gourds, eggs and honey in the fall. I am blessed with all I have and I thank God every day for my life.
